I’m officially 2 more days to see my pink IC once again. 2 years back, I was still singing songs of “exchanging my pink IC for 11B, exchanging my Nike cap for a jockey cap” yada yada. And here I am, I’m just hours away of being “operationally ready”.
Well, things sure were fun these few days. Went helped out Uncle to fill up some forms on Wednesday afternoon. He bought a Vios and needs to change his parking label. We waited for hours for the dealer to come with Uncle’s new car. Surprisingly, it’s red and it’s a manual gear car. Thought that people these days would go for auto but apparently he still prefers manual. Maybe it’s to save up on fuel consumption and for better control. Owells.
Went back school that night and once again chatted with them till late night. Poor Han Song has to send one of the guys to the medical centre. Apparently that guy was ‘tao pocked’ and dislocated his scapula and clavicle. It was so ‘ouch’! Too bad I wasn’t there to take a look myself. Missed the chance. Dang! Also heard from Song that the guy actually felt crepitus in his shoulder region. How cool is that!
I started giving out the ‘thank you’ cards to them next morning, but didn’t manage to see them all. Guess I’ll have to try find them coming Monday.
It felt good giving out those cards. Especially when I saw the look on their faces, I knew that it was time well spent for writing those personalized messages.
Managed to catch up the students. Wished them luck and exchanged words of blessings. Felt happy and sad. The last class. Haha. Time really flies. Somehow, I know I’m gonna miss the school. The people, the classes. Haha. Guess I’m a sucker for memories and history. Got the last T-shirt too. It’s brown with black collars and sleeve tips. Weird combination making it look ‘HUH?’, but it’s the effort that counts I guess. Guess, nothing beats the 1st t-shirt which said:
“I PAM, DO YOU?”
Hope you still have it. =) I liked that shirt a lot.
Met up with Ber for lunch. Hitched a ride from Ivan to Yishun and took a train down. Haha. Was kinda late, sorry! Apparently, both of us were kinda ‘high’ and things started getting real funny. Especially on the ride to Parkway later in the afternoon, it got really hilarious when she started making funny noises, and we had to walk in the rain to get to Parkway. Kinda missed our stop and were drenched. Oh, and not to mention the 3 dumb frogs on TVmobile. It was so irksome!
Went C-beans and discussed about WTC. Dragged ourselves to the chalet. Had fun playing Xmen on the PS2. I think Ber can be quite violent when she plays computer games. Smashing everything in her way. And I think Alv is a pro at NFS. Or maybe it’s the car that I chose wasn’t as good as his? Haha.
Oh, and I don’t get it why people start eating when they’ve got nothing to do. Right Ber? =P
The food was alright and Anba was there too. Mrs Jing Wei came too. Left at around 10 and took a cab down to the train station before taking a train back home. Showered and packed, and off we go to Alv’s place.
Tried the famous Bar Chor Mee near his place, just down the road. Ber bought Malay Cake. Checked out Salsa classes at Alv’s, watched episodes of Hard Gay on youtube. Basically just hanged around and laughed our time away. Thought that the clips were funny. Not to forget that pig’s liver sound clip and the video clip of the guy who could touch his eye-brows with his tongue.
Also, thanks Alv for putting us up at your place. Thanks for the hot choc and I sincerely apologise for making you sleep like a fetus. Haha. Didn’t know that you would be sleeping like that. We really could have shared beds know? Hahaha. Oops! And oh, I think you quite proficient and effective in killing mosquitoes. Well done man.
Went swimming with them at his pool. Still can’t swim the breaststroke. Sighs. It was fun seeing Ber trying to swim freestyle. Don’t understand why she has to stand up after 2 strokes. Haha.
Had lunch with them and accompanied Ber to Orchard to get her cake for mum’s bday after that. It was a nice cake. Not too big and looked really yummy. And the Tiramisu and cooks’ cream ice cream was good. Haha. Saw Daisy in the train. She’s changed so much! not a bit like the girl I knew years back. Somehow seeing her reminded me of the dance we performed at National Day when we were sec 4. Daisy, Alv, PE, Poly, sheng and me. The days we spent choreographing and rehearsing. Alv split his pants during one of the rehearsals too. And yes, we won! Haha. Those were the days.
Well, sometimes we really have to keep all those memories regardless of good or bad and pack them in a box. When we dwell too long in history, we tend to lose track of the things that are happening right now. It certainly is difficult, but I’m learning my way, I hope.
It’s going to be another packed weekend. And she’s leaving this Sunday. Should I? Should I not?
That’s it for now I guess. Eyes are shutting.
