HOWDEE HOWARD!

Hoon's fav photo. =p (left's macho, right's not.)
Yo HOWARD! Bruddddddder brudder..
Pre-show photo
It’s 1am in the morning and a much dreaded chemistry final test is coming up in 7hours time. I don’t know if I’ve prepared enough for it, but that’s how I feel before all the tests. Hope this one goes fine. Will soon know I guess. Anyways, welcome back home Jo. Turkey sounded really fun. Hope you had a good time. =) So how was the tea?

--

Gave Ethel and Chuimei tuition before meeting up with them. 3 hours straight at Beans. I wonder how they could just sit there and listen to me explain non stop for 3 hours with no break. Caramel blended still rocks, and ‘tiramisu in a cup’ is the next best thing to Chicago cheese cake at Beans now.

Was late for an hour due to the extended tuition time. Rushed down to J8 and met up with them, and the first thing Ber said when she saw me was: “Eh PE, see!”, as she pointed to my shirt. It was then I realized that ALL of us were wearing black tops and jeans. Well, all but PE. Haha. Apparently she got ‘desperate’ and got a black spag top from Gio before we left for dinner and production. How funny. =)

Well, HOWARD! You’re a BASTARD! Haha. Pardon me but I’m not cursing the Howards that we know, but rather the Howard that was on stage yesterday night. The production by Raffle’s Hall was fantastic, as was Alv, who acted as the much detested father of the family – Howard.

The show was great, like I said. It was entertaining, funny, engaging, and most importantly, our dear friend was on stage. Howard was a very VERY fierce character, he was yelling most of time. We all thought that he did a great job being Howard, and certainly was one of the better actors on stage.

Ricardo was a certain show stealer. Some of the girls were hot I’ll say. And not to forget, the guy who sat beside me cried when Howard’s wife left him, and the girl behind us who thought that ‘the father is cute!’.

It was great and I’m most certain that all of us had a great time. =)

We had supper at NYDC, Holland V after the show. Pity the 3 of them couldn’t join us. Right? PE? Haha. Next time ya? It was funny when we started talking about the Saturday desserts. They just couldn’t stop laughing. Oh, and also that silent karaoke. Haha. It’s corny I tell you. CORNY.

Got a ride back home from Hoon and well, I guess I turned into “tiramisu” on the way back. You know what I mean. =) anyway, thanks for the ride!

Slept at 3am in the morning. Was reading through the chem notes and marking Eric’s math paper. Thought that he was good at his mental calculations, and he was confident at it. But somehow, I felt that he was OVER-confident and that he tend to skip steps and not write down the workings in for his questions. Not a healthy practice because primary school papers tend to give points for both answers and workings.

And so, today’s over with a blink of the eye. Bible study, worship, tuition and mugging basically summed up the day. Been thinking quite a bit lately. Somehow, I can’t wait for the exams to be over. So many things I want to do. So many people I want to meet up again.

I guess that’ll have to wait. Let’s settle tomorrow’s test. Hope it goes fine. =) I wonder if Eric’s REALLY gonna cycle down here tomorrow morning. (Oh, not my brother this time. The OTHER Eric) He’s SOO crazy if he really does. Haha.

I know it hurts, and I know no matter what I say won’t help much. It’s painful the way it is, and we know it’s gonna take a while. But I pray that you won’t let it affect you too much as you’ve got important things to do right now. Cast aside the sad thoughts, and if possible, immerse yourself into your work and hang in there.

It’s easier said than done - I know. But you’ve got to try. It’s hurting to see you crying your hearts out. But please, stop weeping and stop grieving. Stand up and walk and don’t look back. Leave the shattered pieces behind, and move along for now. Come back if you must, but after your work is done. Alright?

Will be here if you need anything. *hugs*

How you remind me

Selamat Hari Raya.

It’s a public holiday and I’m here in hall rotting away. Contemplated the idea of going back home. But guess what? I’m still here. Rotting away.

Did some chemistry in the morning and realized that the lecturer have yet to go through the second half the topic, so left the tut half done. Then switched to maths. Couldn’t do much of the question without keep referring back to the notes; and so I decided to read it later and attempt the questions again. Took out computing and started reading through Numeric Arrays. It’s a rather easy and useful concept. BUT THE TUTORIAL QUESTIONS ARE BLARDY TOUGH. And I’ve been doing that since 9pm. Oh sheesh it’s almost 1am. And my programme still can’t run properly. Or rather it can’t even RUN. There’s just one bug in the programme, and I just can’t seem to figure out the reason of its existence. I need help in this one. So I’ve decided to leave it till the tutorial. So now, I shall switch to Econs and listen to the online lecture. Sighs.

Exams are coming and the studying never seem to end. I have this feeling all the A’s and B’s that have been luckily strolling in will soon turn into C’s and D’s. At this rate, things are going to be ugly.

--

We’ve got another tenant tonight. It’s interesting how people can share one small bed and not squash each other.

Heard from Mr Roomie that I had a REALLY rough night last night. Did some extreme movement and a-bit-loud kind of shouting. Must have scared the crap out of him. OOPS. Signs of insufficient sleep. I need sleep. PLENTY of it.

--

Went up to MJ couple of hours back and rented “The Untouchables”. Nice 90’s kind of show. Must have been a big hit back then. Funny thing was, girl at MJ didn’t need my IC this time to rent the DVD. She actually know was I was. Tsk. Scary.

--

Actually I wanted to put this at the top of the entry, but decided against it. It’s just a thought. Maybe some of you out there share this little thought too:

Day in day out, we’re being judged. Like it or not, we are. The way you walk, the way you talk, the way you carry yourself, the clothes that you wear, the phone you’re using, everything. I recall having an entry about people’s judgment months back. And I shall not rattle on any further.

I only wonder why you who you are. Why do you do things you do? Why talk like you always do? Sometimes, I gets on my nerves. It’s not because I don’t understand you. Actually I very much do. But I would like to look at it as a personality clash. For all the similarities that stunned me, the differences poke me like prick in my finger.

--

It’s just a random thought. RANDOM.

Fix you - Coldplay

When you try your best, but you don’t succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can’t sleep
Stuck in reverse

When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you’re too in love to let it go
If you never try, then you’ll never know
Just what you’re worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears streak, down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears steam down your face
And i… ….

Tears steak, down your face
I promise you that I’ll learn from my mistakes
Tears steak down your face
And i… …

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

HARD-gay HOOOOOOO!

Oh sheesh. Over slept and missed the morning lectures this morning. Only managed to wake up at 11. Tsk. Have to watch the webcast. Owells.

Well, if you don't know, this little man is called Hard Gay, and this little toy is sitting on my table right now. =) thank you! It's really sweet of you to get. Hope it didn't make you go bankrupt. =)

Taking the next ten minutes to do a little update before I leave hall for tuition with CM. As far as I can remember, we had a hike with the youth people at church last Saturday. Started from the Singapore Island Country Club, we trekked into the forest, walked the HSBC tree top walk, and then all the way out to the Rifle Range Road. So much changes have been done to the entire trail. It’s so much easier to walk now, as compared to a few years back when there weren’t paths and steps but just more and more mud trails and dirt roads.

Hiked up Bukit Timah and down to Beauty World. Completed the journey before the set target time. Had dinner and Macs before everyone went on home. It was fun, and thank God that the weather was good and PSI wasn’t that bad. =) waiting for cousin to us the photos we took throughout the trail. Busy man he is.

Sunday was mugging day as usual, mugged for econs and more econs. Well, the test didn’t eventually turn very well, but hope for the best I guess. Anyways, school on Monday and Tuesday was as usual, apart from the late meetings that we had. Some posters we had to change and cards we have to send. So much for the welfare committee. Haha. Interesting things we do.

Oh, Tuesday was sheng’s birthday. Haha. Happy birthday to you girl! Though I didn’t really get to SAY happy birthday, but you get it. Right? =)

Had dinner on Wednesday at Marina and we had Sakae. Caught up a bit and moved on for coffee at Beans. I’m rather surprised that there’re a people out there who reads, and I’ve got no idea that they actually do. And these are people that I actually know. How nice. =) And I’ve yet to find out how you found out about this. (Chancing and “stumbling” upon it is quite, well, difficult. Try googling it. You can’t see it ANYWHERE.) Anyways, hope you enjoyed dinner. (I’m not quite sure if I slept ‘smiling’, but just maybe I did)

Walked back to Raffles City and we went our ways. Caught the train back and horror of horrors, the train service ceased when we got to Jurong East interchange. Someone jumped onto the tracks at Chinese Garden and ALL passengers had to alight at Jurong East. The bus station and taxi stands started to swarm with people and it took me almost an hour to get from JE to BL. It was bad. But I managed to catch the highlights afterall. =)

Lab on Thursday was quick and easy. Managed to finish it and got back to hall to slack a bit before computing lectures. Chailin dropped by and we had lunch at the lounge. This “yan can cook” guy was on tv and we were laughing our heads off whilst watching. Funny character and sometimes I wonder how do you actually make a living hosting culinary shows as such. I mean, WHO watches it? (well, apart from the both of us who were too lazy to change channels for that 15-20mins of lunch) It’s AMAZING as to how moronic things can get in the show. Oops!

Evening was good. Ott dropped by and we kinda “bitched” a little. Well, a lot. Supper was great and I guess, mayo with the dumplings still rock. (better than that vinegar ginger thingy). Hope yoga went well for you today and no worries about that b*tch. She’s just, well, you know. =) and you’re better than that. Like you said, “you’re everything I don’t wanna be”. (I’ve got no idea how you say it in Thai, but you get the drift =) ) Have fun!

--

Owells, got to go now. Tuition’s at 1530, Suntec. Need to pack up and get ready. All those reading this (that’s inclusive of YOU. You know who you are.), enjoy your weekend! Enjoy every moment of it. Because before you know it, it’s already MONDAY. Haha. Well, pardon me if I spoiled your party moods, but I’m kinda dreading each day. EXAMS ARE COMING! And things are picking up pace rather quickly. And I’ve yet to catch up on some stuff. Anyways, HAVE FUN!

--

PS: Jo, I hope you’re having fun in Turkey. How’s tea? Haha. I’ll find your little thingy and pass it to Ott. Thanks for helping get my shades! Help me thank Oli too ya? =)

The Door, The Lock, and the Air-Con

Happy birthday dad! Well, not that he’ll read my blog, but still, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hopes he likes the gift I got him. Not expensive, but certainly out-of-this-world for him. Haha. Got mum a handbag too. Hid it in her drawers and have yet to tell her about it. Surprise for her tomorrow. =) Got myself a new shirt too. Thinking of getting something for Eric, but couldn’t find what would be good for that little brat.

I’m so totally screwed for computing and NEARLY missed the full score for the math test. Couldn’t even get the programme to run for the computing test.. totally disappointed and morale hit rock bottom. Made a careless mistake to the first question of the test and only managed to rectify during the dying seconds towards the end of the test. Sighs.

To make things worse, Economics is coming up next week and there a truck load of things to read. And guess what? I’ve yet to start reading.

Well, worrying things aside. Met up with the 4 of them tonight. Mr Busy’s well… BUSY. As usual. Hope his performance turns out good for him. Gonna be one helluva show. =) All the best bro! Well, we didn’t really miss you though (apart from someone), so… YA. =)

Updated each other about stuff and had more talks over sundaes and cones at Macs. Thought that the conversations were hilarious, especially about the door and the lock. Haha. You guys get the drift. =)

Managed to get on the last train and took a cab from Jurong East back to hall.

It was fun. And I sure hope that you guys had fun too. PE was saying that we should meet up once a month or something. Well, that I agree. But it takes two hands to clap. In this case, 6 hands. We’ll try. Right peeps? =)

Got a msg from XH and asked me to join the SP subcomm. Agreed to it and meeting’s up next Monday. Looking forward to work with her. With her dynamic personality and straightforward approach to issues at hand, it should be interesting.

To the person who sat beside me: Like I said, when someone’s willing to wait, I’m very positive that everything means very much to him. The patience he has and his willingness to sacrifice speaks volumes. Well, I was once like that and I guess I know how it feels like – to wait. It’s certainly not easy, but when his heart is firm and mind is set, I’m sure that YOU are SOMEONE to him. I hope this fairytale works out for you. And that it will have a fabulous ending. We shall see ya? =)

--

To the superhero in my life: Thank you very much and I’m very glad we talked. I hope things are going fine on your side. Thank you for your encouragement and your constant faith in me. You’re a blessing to have as a friend, a hero, a ‘boyfriend’. =) God be with you too and always remember the footprints on the sand ya? (btw, how much are we supposed to have inside the metal tin?)

--

To the rest: Good night and sleep tight! =) And to those whom I’ve got ‘chemistry’ or ‘physics and bio’ with, and the one who’s got a smartass tooth, love you guys. See ya soon!

What have i done??

And so the weekend came and went. What have I accomplished? What am I doing? What’s next?

- Over slept and missed the District Camp meeting. (Wasn’t on purpose. Almost kicked myself for that. Realized that my leg not that flexible.)
- Lost my ez-link card and spent almost an hour searching for it. It’s STILL M.I.A.
- Had tuition with Desmond. Played ball with him when the PSI was like 140. Stopped after half an hour.
- Rushed down to Trinity College for a talk. Was late for the introduction. Managed to catch the last bit of speech by the archbishop. Was overally ( ß this ain’t English. But I figured that people would understand) funny and enriching. But got lost towards the last ten minutes of the talk. Couldn’t understand the Chinese terms that he used. Pity.
- Read a bit on Computing, but just couldn’t find the motivation to write the programmes.
- Caught a BORING nil-nil match between England and maca.
- Slept at 2.30am and woke at 9am.
- THANK GOD for clearing the haze this morning. Played ball with the guys and had fun. Lots of hilarious stuff happened. Coupled with some good last-point shots, courtesy of me. (Shameless, but hey! Who cares?)
- Went for tuition at Yan’s. Last minute, but managed to clear some doubts that he had. It’s scary how kids nowadays have to learn acid, bases and salt at SEC ONE! I never did it till sec 3. FREAKY.
- Got a call by SY. Wanted to ask me about some Physics tutorial. Was thinking: “When was the last time someone called and asked me about homework? And PHYSICS?”
- Rushed down to church. Was late by half an hour. And did the most horrible thing by falling asleep during sermon. Tsk. Pardon I please.
- Met up with the youth people and confirmed next week’s hike. ZY insisted that JP and I planned it. But I only helped with getting the resources and map. JP did the rest. Kudos to him; my part ain’t worth mentioning.
- Took the train back to school. Did some shopping at JP.
- Sat down and saw ASH online, and she bugged me about the same ol-stuff. Couldn’t entertain her.
- Did our online project.
- Checked my mail. Got the crap shocked out of me when I read the mail. I’ve yet to reply, but hey girl, no matter what, I’ve got you in my prayers. I can’t say more nor can I help, but in anyways, I’m here if you need anything. Will reply when I find time.
- ATTEMPTED to write the programme. Couldn’t get it to run correctly. Wondering what the HECK was wrong with it. Gave up soon after.
- Took a shower and sat down in front of the lappy.
- Saw Ber through her webcam. Saw Des too. He looked toot. I had a good laugh. I hope they did. =)
- Got a sms from CM and said that she and her friend want tuition. Well, that makes a total of 6 kids. I need to charge HIGHER RATES. Haha.
- Gonna post this up and read my Bible, and do some math. Probably read some Alex Cross.
- Should tell you guys more about my best friend, Alex Cross sometime soon. He’s my IDOL. (Not some idol who sings or dance or acts, but he’s a fictional character. And I’m in LOVE with him. EEK!)
- Good night people. God bless you! Try to breathe in less when the fog comes again. Or you can try staying in the aircon room, or use a mask. People I see around me are falling sick.
- PS: Jee! sorry about the webcam. Really don’t know where I threw it that time.
- PS: JO! Shades have? Just checking. THANKS!
- PS: Hoon! You’re really one persistent brat. Take my hat (and clothes and pants.. erm.. maybe not. Don’t wanna get walloped by you-know-who.) off you.
- PS: Jess! *hugs*
- PS: BER-LIM! a.k.a dynamo-white-teethed who goes CHILL-PILL-LA ah Lian. *hugs*
- PS: Cuz! You still want the prayer book?
- PS: HP! *pow(hugs,10)* ß computing lingo. Courtesy of Fluff.
- PS: The rest of the world! Good night, good morning, good afternoon! If you’ve been working the entire day, time to take a break. Listen to some good music, close your eyes and relax. If you’ve been slacking, turn off that TV and off the radio! Time to work! If you’ve been “in-the-middle”, you’re lying to yourself! YOU ARE SLACKING!

Delayed post

Wow.. It’s been a while since the coffee post hasn’t it? And so my dear coffee buddy asked me the following day if I actually didn’t like sitting on sofas. Well, fact is, I’m a typical bean goer, and sofas are the first outlooks for me. Haha… regardless of the stains and horrible things that the previous ‘sitter’ have done (unless it’s really totally disgusting), I guess it’s till prime choice.

Got back the test score yesterday and I’m quite pleasantly pleased with it. I hope this can keep up, but I foresee tremendous effort that’s required as things are starting to get really difficult.

Eric (not the fat one) and ChaiLin came up to the room after lunch yesterday. Caught some Russell Peters and had a good laugh. (Again. For the tenth time I think) Realised that they are my FIRST male visitors (not counting dad and Eric). Got kinda surprised. Haha.

Think I should go off now. Shower and sleep. Sighs. Sleep is scarce nowadays.

Oh, Jo! If you’re reading this, mind if you could help me check with Oli the shades? Thanks!

--

Okay, that was supposed to be posted on Tuesday. Guess I just couldn’t find the time to post it up?

So, here I am, sitting in front my home TV a bottle of Forbidden Fruit Hoegaarden, (It’s good, but guess the normal one’s better for me.) and blogging.

Did some math and had some rice just a few moments back. Taking a break now, trying to catch some breather. Well, speaking of which, I guess it is getting kinda ‘irritating’ to breath these days. Wanted to jog during the weekend at the park and have been thinking about it for quite a while and even had ideas of bringing Eric down to the park to play with some lanterns. But the haze just seems to be getting worse day by day. All those smoke going around. Not too good for the lungs. PSI is rocketing and you can actually smell the burnt trees from Bishan.

It’s somehow turning into a biennial event. This ‘haze’ event. I don’t know what caused the fire this time round (I’m guessing the farmers are trying to clear some land again), but I really hope someone could really do something about it. The amount of damage this whole pollution is bringing ain’t small. The environmental problems, health risks, economical implications, security issues and many more.

We were initially safe, but the change of wind direction last week carried the smog over in entirety. And that kinda suck. Songyi remarked earlier in the day that he couldn’t even see the light from the OCS tower from his room yesterday evening. The air must have been really dense with all the dioxides and soot.
Well, all I hope is for this issue to be over soon. Pray that people with breathing problems out there be safe; especially those with asthma. Have your ventolins accessible.

--

Couple of things to be done over the weekend. Better get it done. Not to forget Computing’s up next week. Maybe it’s the cause of my on-going headache. BAH.

--

I’m having a headache. And yeah, like you said, I guess it’s the residual feelings. But there’s more to it. It ain’t just that.
