Moooooooo.

My head feels like an artery suffering from atherosclerosis, and an angina’s about happen.

Oh, I drew a cow with the C++. How cute. MMMOOOOOO…

No time no time

I’m sitting in my room now, eating my instant noodles, looking at a pile of work I’ve yet to complete.

Things are great around here, lest the work that never seems to seize. Questions of maths and physics are piling like knolls and challenges of econs and chemistry ain’t very friendly either. Last but not least, dearest Effective Communications have got at least 40 questions due next week. It ain’t MCQ mind you. Some language based questions that remind me of secondary schools ‘summary’ and ‘sentence-restructuring’.

Had dinner just now with the Viking people. Thought Kenneth was really smelly from his game. Was really looking forward to the IBG but now, I can’t even walk properly. Owells. Like someone said, everything happens for the best. Guess its God’s way of telling me that there’re other things that are of greater concern right now – things like studies and my growth.

Somehow, I am already looking forward to the weekends. It’s gonna be fun! Can almost smell it. Ber’s birthday celebration’s coming up on Friday evening and HanSong’s friends’ performance is on Sat. I guess chilling out at Hollands would follow suite. And oh, the Christian Conference at St Andew’s church with the YCCY. =) Thinking again, gotta finish my work by Friday. Mug mug mug.

Owells, I hope all those out there reading has gotten over all the Monday blues, and certainly pray that the following week will be a lovely one for you. Though things might get hectic sometimes, always remember to take a breather some times, and enjoy the things God have created for us. Maybe the sunset, the flowers or even just the air around. Take a second to look around and remember how blessed you are.

Good night people. God bless. =)

PS: Cuzzie, I hope you’re okay ya? You ought to tell me what happened. Sounds somewhat interesting. Oops! Well, we OUGHT to meet up some day. Been procrastinating I know, but that day will come la. *hugs*

A crippling weekend

I’m tpying this on bus 162, back from town and homebound. This sounds weird but I’ve always wondered how it felt like to type something on laptop whilst on the bus. It feels like I’m in a scene of some typical movie on the big screen, where some smart journalist or author of some sort is deep in thought, thinking of what he’s next line on his document would be. It’s an really interesting thing to do. Simply because this IS mobile, and things are constantly changing around you, and somehow I feel like noting down every single detail that’s around me now.

Well, the bus is passing by Ai Tong and 2 guys just came up the bus. One of them is wearing a Hardrock tee and the other is carrying a plastic Spiderman bag, trying to look for a seat.

Now, I’m at Bishan Park Sec. 4 girls in uniform came up and they’re standing in front of me. I’m sitting right at the back of the shuttle. They’re taking pictures with one of the girl’s Samsung camera phone.

Next, at Bright Hill temple. One guy and one woman boarded the bus. Nothing special about them. Just regular temple goers I guess. Reaching the driving course really soon, but apparently the bus has stopped at the traffic light. Next stop would be home. I guess I should stop here for the time being. Need to save this file and keep my lappy into the case I just bought yesterday. Later! =)

Yes yes. This is indeed an overdue. The above was typed on Friday. And it’s already Monday. Well, guess much has happened in between and my time management hasn’t really been the best.

But guess, to sum it all up, it’s been all happening and fun. Well, that excluding a few hiccups here and there.

Met up with Alv at Tampines interchange and went off to YY’s birthday party at Changi Aloha. Were busy yaking away on the bus and ended up missing our stop. Had to back-trek to get to the place. Quite a big chalet they have there and people started to roll in as time went by. Said ‘hi’ to my neighbors and helped out with the ‘manufacturing’ of the party balloons. As expected, Ms Hoon inevitable screamed throughout the process due to… Well, basically burst balloons.

Sheng was there. For some reason, it felt weird at the beginning. But the ice broke soon enough and I’m glad that things are the way it is right now. Alv, hoon and Sheng had dinner together, and we played some Bridge to entertain ourselves, as YY was busy entertaining the rest of the guests. Oh, and I thought she looked good in her outfit that night, just that those heels were rather scary. Sincerest apologies to those wearing heels out there, but I think heels higher than an inch is a bit too high for my comfort. Simply ’cause images of an ankles get sprained on high heels is too grotesque for me to handle. Oops. Nonetheless, I don’t deny the fact that girls look pretty/elegant in heels, it’s just… Scary I guess.

Met Ruihua that night too. Hadn’t seen her since JC year 1. It’s been quite a while. Took the late bus out of Tampines with Ruihua and Sheng. Crapped all the way out and realized how lame Sheng could be. Tsk. Funny girl.

Got to the HK café at elevenish and took a queue number. Wasn’t really expecting to encounter such a huge crowd but we got our seats no less. Managed to have few words with Steph’s boyfriend before shifting into the none-smoking, air-con zone. Interesting guy. Spoke with an American/English accent, I can’t figure which.

Got back home at 5am and knocked out soon after.

Well, Sat was supposed to be a fun day. Meeting up with the people. I just had to go down to the court to play and end up limping again. This time round, it’s gonna take another 2-3 months. Sighs. This very much means I’m gonna miss out on the marathons and hall games that I was supposedly looking forward to. Simply detest this feeling.

Anyways, BBQ at Alv’s was great and managed to have some fun. It’s been quite a while since we’ve gathered. PE’s new specs looked good on her. (Well, it’s a good time to change one too. The old one looked like the one she’s been wearing since sec 1!), Ling’s still as BLUR as ever, (WHooops! But hey, sometimes ignorance is bliss. *grins*), Ber still can’t stop laughing as we played “hei zhima and bai zhima” and we tried out Haidai, Hoon is still as violent as ever, threatening to throw people off the 13th storey, and well, Alv’s still Alv I guess. Enjoying his moments of serenity and bliss BBQing under the stars, while the REST of us made ourselves scarce. Lastly, poor me came in with a bandaged knee, having problems hopping around and getting food. Felt bad not helping out with the BBQing, but I guess my dearest peeps wouldn’t mine, right?

Hey guys, thanks! Thanks Hoon for constantly staying by the pit and BBQing food for the lazy people OUTSIDE. Thanks Ber, bringing us entertainment to us with your little zit on your upper lip =p. Thanks Ling, for being blur. That brought a tremendous amount of fun to the night. Haha. (I’m so evil.) And thanks PE, for peeling the prawns and feeding us Otah. Muahaha. Sorry bro, couldn’t help much with the prep or cleaning up. Hope the ham was nice. Oh, bacon was sinfully yummy.

Otti came by and had some marshmallows and watermelon. Left for soccer not long after. Caught the first twenty mins of the Bolton-Spurs match, but essentially got bored by it as we kinda knew it would have been a boring match after Spurs went two goals down. Tsk. Switched channels and caught a bit of some lame Stephen Chow show. Eventually, things turned so boring that we took the keys and hit to East Coast. Had apple pies from the drive-thru and yada yada.

Sunday was a horrible day and nothing much interesting to mention. To sum it up simply: doctor, treatment, bandages, medication, and rest. Get the flow? Sigh.

Anyways, thanks Ott! For the ride to school. Hope the kacang was good. =)

It’s 1250pm now and I’ve got a lecture at 2.30pm at LKC Lt, which is like, a helluva distance from where I am right now. Thinking of taking a nap right now and then take the shuttle there later at 2pm. Just maybe I should do that.

Well, a very good week to all those who happen to read this. =)

A little update

The first day of week 2 has already passed and things aren’t going as smoothly as I’ve expected. Physics and mathematics are a bane to me. And it doesn’t really help when the tutor ain’t exactly encouraging. Well, certainly hope God will help me through this patch.

Got a call from Jo early in the morning whilst I was still in lalaland. Returned her missed call and got to know that she’s here at NIE for some funny course (title of which I can’t remember). Met her up for lunch at 1230pm. Or rather, 1240pm. Had to spend some time giving her instructions and directions round the campus. Funny thing was that I didn’t realize that there’s actually a ‘block 3’ in NIE, and thus that kind of complicated things. Tsk. Should I noticed and given better instructions. Maybe I should go for the MOI course. Haha. Right Jo? =)

Only have got one tutorial and one lecture in the morning. Started slacking back in hall at 1130. Did some tutorials and slept a little. It really is amazing how little sleep one can go with yet still keep awake, due to the seemingly endless work. Took an afternoon nap and went for the Lifeguards CAT test. Managed to pass the test and training starts next week. Managed to make a few friends at the pool. An Indonesian scholar, a Korean exchange, an ex-NYJCian, and one other guy whom seem quite anti-social at 1st. I didn’t know the Koreans speak Chinese. Haha. Or maybe only he spoke Chinese. Interesting.

Met up with Meiting and got some textbooks from her. Jiaqing was with her. Apparently she’s 1st year here too, doing business. Such a small world. Still as light-hearted and bubbly as ever. Chatted with them about the people we know, and about the BIG rumor between Chunpong and Yingmei which I apparently didn’t notice. Haha.

Just sent an email to the Dean, hoping that to change courses. Thanks Ott for the help with the mail. Couldn’t have done it with some really professional help. Hope things go well.

It’s almost midnight now. Haha. And I’m feeling sleepy. But ain’t gonna hit the sack yet. Have got 3 lectures to prepare. And hope that the earl grey will kick me up. HOPE.

Anyway, cuzzie! We really ought to meet up soon. Haha. I’m so gonna kill you when we do. =p

Pseudo NEO 1 =)

Haha… so here goes. My 1st PSEUDO NEO. Inspired by my dear friend NEO. Haha. =)

Quickie

My goodness… I can almost see dust on this blog now. It’s amazing how busy things can get in the Uni. All those endless (and mindless) printing of lecture notes, queuing for things like books food and even toilets, walking up and down the horrendous hills every single morning which makes people perspire like no-one’s business, and the breath-taking rushing for lectures that never seem to seize… It’s the 1st week of school and things sure are getting kinda mad around here. But I’m rather certain that it’ll all settle down real soon. And by next week, things will get better. (I hope.)

And so the latest happenings are that I’ve got my lappie (I’m using it right now) which totally rocks and apparently it’s got specs better than my desk top at home; I’ve pinned up almost 20 photos of my close ones on my bulletin boards; I’m going for the NTU life-saving corps selection tests coming Monday; joining the inter-block games; and I’m beginning to realize that I’m an anti-social and I would LOVE to be a chao-mugger for some reason. Well, apparently there ARE many events that would take place in weeks to come, but nothing seems to be attracting me. Maybe it’s the people, but maybe it’s more of myself.

Sometimes during outings, it’s rather irritating to actually see guys being so… well, pardon me as I put it bluntly: “chee hong” (which effectively translates to ‘flirt’) Anyhow, it’s not for me to judge what’s their purpose of actions. Thus, I shall just be a pseudo-sociologist and study the hu-MAN behavior of these people. Rather interesting in fact. =)

Anyway, I think God has been really nice to be and let me find a really good roomie in the form of Mr Joel Tee. Very certainly, Joel has been remembered by us for ALL the wrong reasons. His inability to do ‘proper-push-ups’ (says so by Mr Mic Ng) and the classic incident of “I locked the door because I’m afraid that dogs come in” (as if dogs know how to turn a door knob. Even if they knew how to, I bet they couldn’t do with it their paws.). But somehow, it has been arranged for us to meet and by chance, we turn out to be room mates. From helping pay all the fees through the internet, to companying me round the vicinity to know the roads, and now sharing of textbooks and maybe printers and fridge, he has certainly helped me very much in adjusting to everything here. Thank God and thank him. =)

Well, there so much more in my head that I would wanna type it down, there’re lectures happening 8.30am, which is another 7 hours from now; and we’re just back from the bash at B-Factory (my virgin clubbing experience). Anyway, it’s fun to dance and let loose. I love the place. BUT! I doubt I’ll step into another club for a very long time. At least not until the NO SMOKING ban is implemented to all clubs, and the clubs actually reduce the price of the drinks. Paying fifteen bucks for one small pint of Hooegaarden is insane. It’s equivalent to getting 4 bottles from seven-eleven.

A very good night to all those people I know out there. To all those going to NUS, HAH! You’ve got 3 more days! To all those in SMU and SIM, you guys are lucky crap! OOPS! In anyways, take care people. Really hope to see you guys someday. To the 6 of you, I really hope the BBQ’s gonna formalize. =) looking forward to it. And PE, take care ya? *hugs*

And oh, did I mention that my lappie totally rocks?

I'm BACK!

YES! I’m finally back! Well, technically I was back quite a few days back. Thursday to be exact. Thing was that I just couldn’t find time to sit down and blog. hahas.

The previous week has been fun but also ‘sleepish’. The orientation camp was good, but same old ‘clicking’ problem was present as I’ve expected. But all and all, it was a good experience. The monster hunt, station games, amazing race, water games, war games, cheers, and ‘free-time’ games were great. Learnt quite a few good games which I think can be played during gatherings or parties. Some games are rather silly but intriguing. Like ‘hai dai’, ‘hei zhi ma bai zhi ma’ (which translates to black and white sesame in English), ‘vampire vampire’, ‘wu ling da hui’, and my personal favorite, the ‘tuo yi’ game.

Just like any other camps, cheers are part and parcel of each activities. By the second day, my throat got kinda irritated from all the shouting and yelling. But managed to pull through nonetheless. Also as expected, there were people who can’t really shout. People like the GL. Haha. His voice turned ah pek on the 3rd day and I could barely hear him talk at times.

The highlight of the camp was the monster hunt, a.k.a Fright night. It wasn’t that scary, considering the fact that we’ve been through scarier events. Nonetheless, it was a really fun night, in a sense that we’ve to find out who the murderer was, by going walking round the campus (NTU has got REALLY creepy places I tell you) and searching for clues and asking the characters questions. The seniors did a really good job making up the entire thing. The black and white, long tongued gate keepers looked really creepy, the mannequin they threw from the 4th storey down and landed with a ‘thump’ which shocked us, the solo crawl under the big water tank which made the girls cry, and that walk ‘down hell’ which made Kenneth scream like a girl. It was really fun that night. Just that it ended really late that night, causing people to very much stone the next day.

Well, the other activity that was really thrilling was the war games. In particular, the ‘fruit ball’ was my favourite. It was played exactly the same as Captain’s ball. Just that this time, the ball is being replaced by fruits. The first one was watermelon, second was banana, and then papaya. There were also durians, but we didn’t get to actually play with it. It was more like a hoax to excitement to the game. Managed to score a goal with a pseudo basketball move, but still lost in the end. Tsk. But it was fun. It was also during the war games we got to know that Yechao is a Haidai expert. This guy is really good at Haidai and he single handedly ‘killed off’ three quarters of the opponent’s Haidai exponents. Kinda scary, the way he plays it. Or rather, intimidating. But I guess that’s how it was supposed to be played.

So much for the camp I guess. There were many other activities too but guess I’m too lazy for now. School’s gonna start soon and I’ve got my timetable. Thing is, it looks even better than my previous JC timetable in terms of no. of lessons and lectures; but at the same time, that means we are very much expected to do tonnes of personal revision and self-studies. Lessons start at 8.30am each day except on Tuesday, but it ends at 7.30pm. It’s a 5day study week and I can shoo at 3.30pm. Should be meeting up with the girls after school. Think they’re ending early too. Or rather, one of them doesn’t even have school on that day. Think its Ber. Right? Speaking of which, she wants my handwriting. HMmmmm. How weird. What a thing she’s asking for. *shrugs*

And so, here starts the life of tertiary education. Soon after, our first step into the ‘real’ world. It's good to know that someone's there to hold your hand as you go through changes in your lives. Ain't it?

Oh, by the way, the Hong Kong Café along East Coast Road serves really fantastic food. Especially the peanut butter toast. It’s not just any ordinary peanut butter toast. It’s totally great. Trust me on this. Try it some day. Check out the webby if you wanna.

Lastly, just before I go, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOLENE! Didn’t really get to see you or call you. But anyhows, good luck to you, and I hope you get to fulfill your wish of traveling the world with your hubby Mr Yellow. =) take care! See you soon. *cheers!*
