TEST tmr!

Been up since 9.30am. Have been mugging for the statistical thermodynamics test on tomorrow morning. Oh my poor brain. Resorted to memorizing most of the stuff: it’s just TOO hard to understand the blardy concepts. Urgh. Though I’m done reading, but am still not 10/10 confident. Owells. Since when was I ever a 100%? Maybe if I were to take the PSLE or Olevels again…. Haha. My weird fantasies.

Spent the weekend having some real fun. Tanning, lunching by the pool, MJ (lost 4 bucks!), filling dinner, Spongebob and supper, over-nighting, hiking on Saturday morning, revision in the afternoon, dinner with the nice people at night, and ‘cohesion’ at cousin’s place. Picked up Eric on Sunday morning, slept in the noon, church in the evening, dinner at home and back in school. Woots!

Sooooooooo, PE, have you found out what a blow-up doll is? Hehe. I thought we were kinda lucky that the lady sitting beside be was plugged in to her music player. Hah! I thought you were a bit… NOT very discreet huh. =)

I’m so going for the Oktoberfest next year. Sausages and beer. Free flow. How cool is that?

Alright now. Good luck to all the people with exams and tests tmr. Hope you won’t be needing it. I’m sure I’ll be needing lots. Nites.

Recently

Activities that I’ve been engaged in recently:

1. Getting my right eye really swelled up. Saw a doc and hopefully it goes away by the end of the week. Some dumb glands getting blocked.
2. Thinking about what he’s doing over in China. How fast he’s grown. Amazing.
3. Trying really very hard to catch up with the lectures and tutorials. Managed to complete a report last Saturday. Two major quizzes next week. Two major hair-pullers.
4. Fighting with the Z monster.
5. Finishing up JP’s ‘you’ve been warned’. Mind-bloggling. Ending’s a spine-chiller. Anyone interested? I’ll be glad to share.
6. Preventing myself from slipping whenever I’m wearing my slippers. Doesn’t help when it’s raining all the time.
7. Playing some basketball with the hall people. Looking forward to the Wednesdays and occasional Thursdays. Having quite a good jump-shot lately. Feeling good – at last.
8. Worrying for the people taking their Os. Praying hard for all of them. Final hurdle.
9. Worrying for the people in Southern California. The fire is wild. Praying that it stabilizes soon. Be safe alright?
10. Procrastinating. Should have changed my bed sheet last weekend. I’m still sleeping on the same one I’ve slept on two weeks back. Oops.
11. Hoping that money would pop out somewhere. I need new footwear. Slippers and shoes. They’re smooth. Real smooth.
12. Dreaming about Christmas. It’s the season to be jolly!
13. Dreaming about not having exams.
14. Fantasizing about time turning back, and I shall be the smartest kid who scores 300 for PSLE and one point for O levels.
15. Thinking that I should sleep now. Gotta wake at 7.

Please let my swelling go away. I can’t see! urgh.

Sheep

This is my daily reading from “My journey” today. Really interesting and cute in a certain sense. Haha. =)

--

Psalms 23:1-4
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. HE makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Reading: I didn’t grow up on a farm. I grew up in new subdivisions with newly paved streets and pristine houses. So there weren’t any sheep in our neighborhood. As a result, I knew next to nothing about the creatures. So I decided to do a little bit of research and found three facts about sheep that intrigued me.

The first thing I learned was this: sheep are stupid. Every few years or so, I take my family to the “greatest show on earth” – Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus. We’ve seen trained lions, trained elephants, trained horses and even trained poodles. But we’ve never seen trained sheep. There’s an explanation for that: sheep are stupid.

We are called sheep numerous times in Scripture. And I know that the principle of stupidity certainly fits in my life (I’ll let you make any personal application of the principle to your own life.) that’s why I need a shepherd. I’m sheep and I’m dumb. And as a result, sometimes I make dumb decisions. Sometimes I refuse to learn from past mistakes and repeat them over and over again. That’s when I get discouraged.

The second thing I learned about sheep is this: sheep is dirty. Growing up in the city, I had always thought that pigs were dirty, but much to my surprise, I discovered that sheep are much worse. They are dirty animals that need someone to keep them clean. That’s why sheep need a shepherd. That’s why God calls us sheep – we need s Shepherd to keep us clean.

The third thing I learned about sheep is that sheep are defenseless. Most animals have some type of defense mechanism to protect them from assailants, but not sheep. There have actually been incidents of ravens or crows flying down on a sheep’s head and plucking out the sheep’s eyes. They can’t bark, spew venom, or use sharp claws. Sheep are defenseless. That’s why they need a shepherd.

We NEED our Shepherd.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I’m a sheep.

this is not good

Nothing seems to be going right now for me huh… owells.

--

Got new pair of jeans 2 weeks back; the colour ran and stained my Levis’ shirts. (ouch!)

Just got my laundry back from the laundry room; it’s raining. (Tsk!)

Spent days preparing for today’s math test; I needed ONE more minute to get the answers. (Urgh!)

One more month to the first exam paper; I’m super lost for Thermodynamics and there’s no drive to start studying for it. (pfffffft…)

Been trying to sleep early every night; I end up sleeping at 3am. (zzzzzZz)

--

I ought to buck up really soon. Getting plunged into a class of 200 really smart asses. The constant stress to catch up with them is immense. How the heck did they get so smart?!?

GPA 4.0. I’m just 0.8 away. Somehow, it seems to be slipping away.

--

Attended the leader’s training for the Church Camp last Saturday. Fun, fun, fun. But the task ahead is not gonna be easy. 12-17 year olds. 10 of them. I wonder how patient I can be.

This is interesting. Got it from Yaoliang: time management is for smart people; stupid people have got no time to manage.

How true is that? My opinion? VERY TRUE. And somehow, there doesn’t seem to be much time for me to manage.

--

Shall hang up my clothes in the room to air dry. It’s still pouring outside. So much to do, but yet my bones ain’t feel like moving.

This is not good.

Tuesday, October 9

my nose is bleeding.

Yay. I’m finally done with the HRM & entrepreneurship project. It’s due next Tuesday and finally we’ve settled down on what to do. Spent a few hours doing my part in the afternoon… and YES it is done. Taking a break now. It was such a pain in the ass. Hah.

Thank you so much Ber, for helping me out with this project. You really should have seen the faces of my group mates when I showed them the printout you gave me. Haha. Priceless. =) thanks!

Having a maths test next Monday. Somehow, I foresee myself not having enough time to revise for it. Assignments for these 2 days, tuition on Thursday, dad’s birthday on Friday, church camp leaders’ training on Saturday, service and tuition on Sunday. Hmmm. Not good not good. Owells. Still, there’ll be light. Keeping faith. =)

Eric’s done with his PSLE. Think he’s kinda screwed for maths. Hope everything goes well. Praying praying praying. People, if you would, please help me pray too. =)

Had steamboat at Joel’s hall yesterday night. Got Songyi along. I’m glad that I asked him. Too much food. We ate over Joel’s rice cooker. Balls, veg, meat, dang hoon, more meat, beer and Twisties. Woots! Was continually being fed with Dang Hoon. Craps. Haha.

And oh, gorilla’s armpit. BAH haha!

How’s the 2GB thumbdrive coming aloing? Hahha. Found a cheaper one at Popular? =)

House shifting twice in a week. Amazing. I seriously hope that you find time for your work. That’s of utmost importance now. Nothing else.

--

I hope you know what you are doing. Please. I don’t wish to see you broken again.

--

June, July, August. Singapore, Thailand, Japan. You really think I’m mad? Sighs. I thought we are all mad people.

My bad. My apologies for entertaining such thoughts.

PE! Has your knee healed? Got your muscle rub?

--

I love my mini desk top vacuum cleaner. Especially useful for cleaning up my bread crumbs. Hah!

I’m praying for good weather tmr evening. Time for some action. Woots. =)

oct 5th

Ok. People have been bugging me to update my blog. Haha. Oops! =p

--

Just had the horrific Applied Chemistry test today. Like I said, horrific. Should be pass-able. But still……. TSk.

Been up till early mornings these few days. Been atrociously tired during lessons. Skipped 3 hours of lecture on Tuesday. Fell ill on the day before. Drowned myself with Pipagao and honey water. And thank God it went away the day after. =)

Showed Songyi my room after CS803 lecture on Wednesday. Saw the basketball in my room and he got tempted. And so we went to the NIE courts. Supposed to just shoot for an hour. Ended up coming back at 8pm. We left at 5.30pm. Haha. And I played my first full match. Well, I played 7 matches actually. Won all of them. Felt good. Endorphin charged. Haha. Think we’re entering the street challenge organized by the Sports Rec Centre end of this month. I shall be the reserve. Somehow, I’m eyeing for the starting position for our inter-hall team. Ambitious. But achievable.

My HRM team is kinda screwed. Two more weeks to the deadline and we’re still empty-handed. Hope Ott is free this weekend and give us the interview. Really really need it. we’re so so desperate now. OTT!!! ARE U READING THIS? Haha. *fingers crossed*

Think I shall go take a shower now. too many things to do, too little time. Well, the weekend is coming! Plenty of stuff planned out. Woots. =)

And oh, I’ve completed my collection of Alex Cross. Haha.
