Hectic Weekend

WOO-HOO! Phyllis’s got a whopping 83 for her mid-year mathematics examinations and 78.5 for science. Well done kiddo! Congrats congrats. =)

It’s been a real hectic weekend. So packed and tired that I don’t even feel like blogging. Well, guess it’s good to be busy in way. Keeping oneself occupied makes life more interesting in certain sense. Though I think, I’m so gonna knock out soon tonight.

The hectic schedule started off on Friday morning at Alexandra Hospital. Met Ber at Queenstown before we headed down to the dental department to have my stitched removed. So sweet of her to accompany me so early in the morning! Thank you so much! Really appreciate it. =) and I’m so sorry for making you wait half an hour. Haha. Now we’re quits, right?

It took less than 15seconds for the doctor to remove the stitches. The entire check-up barely took more than 5 minutes. The wound is healing up rather quickly she said, and that I’ve got to use this special syringe to gush out food debris that might be stuck around the wound. It hurt a little, and I have got to continue taking painkillers for quite a while. But I’m trying to reduce the dosage though.

Met up with Alv at Whitley after that. Ber came too. And we discussed about WTC with Ms Chong. Now that the camp has been shortened to 3days 2 nights, there would be some shifting of programmes again. Many are actually worried that I might be affected by the shortening of camp. But I’m not and hence no worries! Looking on the bright side of things, we can preserve our energy and concentrate on the 3days, and run a good camp for the boys.

To sidetrack a little, I’ve got a little motivation for those who might be aspired to be a teacher in Singapore. This might sound totally crap, but the fact is that canteen food is darn cheap in the schools. So if you’re thinking of saving some money on food, yups. Teaching might be one profession. Haha. Cheapo! =)

Went town with them and Alv has his Subs. Tried the fondue at the Coffee Club just outside of California Fitness Centre. The melted chocolate was soooo good. And I loved the banana-chocolate combo. Thought that was the nicest among all the fruits. Guess, the chocolate was too good to waste, and the 2 of them took turns to ‘scrap’ the remaining drops of choc out of the bowl. Even the waitress looked embarrassed. Oops!

Accompanied Ber back to her place, and watched “HARD GAY” on youtube.com. That guy is simply hilarious and totally out of this world. The things that he do are just simply brainless and crazy, but it never fails to blow you away. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Say say say say say!!!

Had dinner at the hawker centre near her place, and played mahjong with her cousin, Furnise and Furnise’s boyfriend. Thought that her bf was around our age, but turned out that he was only 19. He looked, rather matured. Initially thought that they were playing fun, but found out they were actually playing with money. Didn’t wanted to pull out, and, haha! Ended up losing twenty bucks! Owells, for the fun of it. =)

Took a bus back with Furnise. Had a nice chat. Think she’s really hyper, even more hyped up than PE or Jess. Funny girl.

Saturday was fun. Met the rest in school to run through some WTC activities. Taught them how to build a flagpole with the help of Augustus and Alv. Thought they did quite well, just that Muts had to comment openly in front of everyone, which I thought would be better done at a later time. Guess, that’s how they work. Or rather, that’s me. I always believed that morale and enthusiasm is of utmost importance in a team.

Did a try-out of the night game and also took the timing for the casevac. It was like a moment of dejavu for me. Carrying Meiding on the stretcher with Howard, KW and Aug has stretcher bearers reminded me of the days when I was carrying Tuff Kelly with Oon and Andrew back in CMC days. Those were they days. Haha.

Met Jee later in the afternoon. Went down Wisma to look around for her pants but couldn’t find anything that she liked. Apparently it’s rather hard to find sized that suit her. Too petite I guess. =) Took a cab down to Great World, and had drinks at Coffee bean.

Alv and Hoon met us there. Caught the DVC when everyone was there. Right. Call me biased, but I really think that the movie is totally crap. Even if I weren’t Christian, I would think that the movie doesn’t have the right to be called ‘best block buster’ of the year, or summer, or whatever. Perhaps that should be better reserved for “x-men” or “Pirates of the Caribbean” or maybe “superman”. Anything, but definitely not DVC. It just doesn’t have the elements for that label. Or maybe it’s not as good as the book itself, and the expectations of readers like me are not met.

I wonder if the DVC book is with me. The one with the hole inside. Memories flooded whilst watching the movie.

Had Kenny Rogers at Marina for dinner. The serving was a bit too much, and I couldn’t finish the bread. I still love the macaroni and cheese. And corn rocks too. And dang, I forgot to bring back the Snapple cap.

Hope Hoon has found the cockroach in her car. Haha. No point denying that you are afraid of the creepy crawlies. It’s written all over your face. =)

Went NUS for “Man of Letters” this afternoon. It was fantastic, and the ending was really sweet. As always, “and they lived happily ever after” kind of endings always leave audiences with a sweet and nice and happy feeling in them. Guess we’re all romance fanatics in certain sense.

And now, I’m back home. Gonna finish up the thank-you cards. 3 more to go. Still contemplating if I should go back tomorrow to help them. I’m tired. But I wanna go. Hah!

Decisions decisions decisions. Why do we regret them? Owell.

Goodnight everyone. May all those in love stay be in love, and those seeking for their love find it soon.
