ROC celebration dinner yesterday night was great. Had ramen. Went tcc at Clarke Quay after that.
More and more people are expressing interest in NYAA now. goodie. Have got kakis to get it. haha. was one helluva night. All the crap talk at tcc was simply, woo-hoo. Weihong’s still as farni as usual. All his action packed crappy stuff. Just, farni.
Met up the new rovers for dinner today. discussed about the WTC programmes. really happy to see that they are all so enthusiastic about WTC. Think it’s gonna be a fun camp, if everything goes smoothly and there’re no, erm.. ya.
Got to know that Meiding has got this ‘thing’ for hairy guys. Weird. Really funny bunch of people. Another great evening out, with Ban Mian at S11.
Got this from my QT material. Wanna share this, written by Steve Farrar:
It’s a shocking fact that a good shepherd will break the leg of a wandering sheep. A loving, caring shepherd knows that by taking something away, in time the loss will be replaced by something far better… something to keep his lamb strong and protected.
It can seem heartless for God to take away some of the things we so highly value in life. Relationships, health, employment, and other treasured things can be swept away by the Father’s loving had. But when our hearts are broken, we can grow closer in intimacy with out Shepherd as he develops our character (1Peter 5:3-4). And that’s a lesson. That must be learned. For it’s rough out there. Life can bring a steady stream of temptations. But he wants us on his trail- the safe trail of righteousness. Without the character-building ways of God, we would become weak and defenseless. We wouldn’t be able to turn from desires and temptations what could destroy us. That’s why it’s so important for us to be broken.
As I read this, I felt that the words were talking to me. As though it was written and addressed to me. Hope that for those who are having problems out there, this might be of some help. God bless.
My favourite Bible verse till date:
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. – Romans 5:3-5
