Woke up about 2 hours ago. Went for Macs after Infusion last night. Came back home and slumped in front of the tv till 2am.
Infusion
A combined performance by Whitley and Bartley concert band alumni. Thought was a good performance. Particularly enjoyed the Prince of Egypt pieces. Was glad that we were JUST on time for that. =)
We were late for the performance because of some minor hiccups. Tsk tsk tsk. Nonetheless, managed to get PE a bouquet of Roche.
Okkar was really cock last night. And Siewling is getting more and more garang. Cutting 3 lanes at one time. (Yes I know there wasn’t any car behind, but you were literally driving PERPENDICULAR to the road! It was like; you were maneuvering a crank course right in the middle of the street. Wow.)
Macs after the performance was good. But sinful nonetheless. Sundaes are yummy. =)
ROC
It’s finally over. Everything went well. Except for a few hiccups here and there. Things like, staff not tucking in their shirt, participants showing no sense of urgency. Basically to me, minor things that seem like something dreadful for senior people.
I felt that Rovers are different from the Ventures and Scouts. The approach should be different too. Perhaps they have got other agendas in mind (like, WTC). But, I shall hold my stand, and believe that there should be no superiority and subordinates. These people are 17 years old. I believe they can think for themselves. It should be done through talking and reminders. Not, ya. That’s what I believe. I guess. My style. Discuss, and pray that they understand. No point enforcing.
Maybe the higher management could have shown some appreciation to the committee during the evaluation too. Especially weihong. Perhaps they had other agenda in mind, again. But, just felt that it would have been better if.. ya.
But still, the camp was an enjoyable one. Especially the participants. They were amazing. Thought that they did great; up to expectations. Certainly hope that they would learn and grow from Rovers. Particularly enjoyed the ‘whacking’ session. Where yiting, CA and I had to be bad guys, put them under mental stress and see if they would make it or break it. Proud that none chose to fall out. All passed the test.
The best moment was when everyone gathered everyone, huddled together, and told them that they passed the test, and am proud of them, and that we would work together as a team, and put up a good show for WTC. The adrenaline rush: Wow.
Didn’t expect the cake too. It tasted good. Guess it’s the second time, or maybe third time I have the Scout’s cutting the cake for my birthday. What a pleasant surprise. =)
And not to forget, thank God for blessing everyone throughout the camp. Thank God for their energy (the participants slept for only like, 2hours and the staff didn’t even have a moment for eye shut) and safety (Nothing serious happened. All injuries sustained were manageable). Thank God for giving me the vision and allowing me to foresee what’s gonna happen throughout the camp, and thus able to run it smoothly. Thank God for keeping me calm and confident to help and aid Jinling when she nearly collapsed during the ceremony. Praise the Lord! =)
Slack
Now, I’m just gonna slack my day away. Watch some videos, read my Bible. Play some guitar. (SUNBURST! WOO-HOO! Need to get the cables. Try linking it up to the hi-fi.) tuition at 7.30pm tonight.
Still thinking of when I can give tuition to Celestine. She came to me last Friday and said she needed help. *sighs* am I really cut for teaching? Is it really my calling? Lord, what is it you want me to do?
