Ice cream rocks!

Guess who's who? (Alv, Hong, KW and me)

Well done guys!

Weekend was fun! Went early to Whitley to help Ding and Shel with their gymnast banner. The 1st one they did wasn't really nice. This one looks not that bad. Was in charge of “SOARING HIGH”. Can’t remember when was the last time I did a banner. Sure was fun. Sense of satisfaction. Hehe. Got a few curious stares from people walking around. In particular, Michael. Haha. Somehow, when I was painting, sensed that something/someone was behind me looking. And when I turned around, I saw him. His presence was felt.

Had a little talking session with Bud and Hong after painting. Took some photos with the banner too.

Went for tuition at Carl’s after that. She’s having difficulty with Graphs.

Celest’s after that. always enjoyed tuition with her cause it’s always so fun. Went through the Mole Concept and Stoichiometry. Everything from relative masses, to empirical formulas to ionic equations. EVERYTHING in 2 hours. Hope she could absorb every bit of information. It’s really different between the N’s and the O’s.

Met up with Derek, John and CA for dinner. Waited to visit the boys who’ve went for exploration hike earlier in the day.

Had prata (again!) at Sembawang road before dispatching to check on the boys. Talked about past scouting experience. Camping and hiking experiences.

It was a good evening, but sad thing was that all the groups were actually caught cheating for the hike. Which was kinda disappointing. Taking train, taking bus, walking on the expressways. So they had to do a big detour, which made them lose a lot of time. In the end, they turned up at their resting point, Sembawang end park at around 4-5am. They were SUPPOSED to reach there the previous night, 10-11pm. The boys looked really exhausted. The looked like they’ve just did a PSA hike. But still , after some motivational talk by the good-ol leaders, their spirits got up again, and set of the following morning at around 7am.

As for the staff, we slept over at the park. We were kinda like buffet for the dreaded mosquitoes. Legs were totally attacked. Had a bite just beside my lip too. Thank goodness for the calamine I found in the 1st aid bag. If not, we would have scratched our skin off. It rained throughout the night. Making us more susceptible to those heat seeking blood-suckers.

If we were gonna stay for another night, I thought we’ll have to get IVs to replenish our blood loss. *grins*

Went kayaking the following morning. All thanks to the blood suckers and the rain, we couldn’t really get any proper sleep. All of us (hong, kiat, john and KW) were drained. Nonetheless, met up with the 1 star wannabes at the PS train station.

Everyone seems excited to kayak. The weather was perfect. The company was right.
Oh, and thanks Shel for the doughnuts. Really thoughtful of you. But. Still kinda wondering what’s that blue and pink thing of the doughnuts. =)

Been a while since we’ve kayaked. The feeling was good. on the sea. Just paddling through. Having fun. Trying to make each other capsize. Trying out those maneuvers we learnt years back. Or just lying back on the cock pit, letting the waves rock the kayak.

It was fun with the 1 star wannabes. Especially seeing how ding and ling (haha.. ding-a-ling! Hehe..) fail to overturn their own kayaks. And when the instructor finally gave up gave them a push. Funny. How ling slipped on her butt in the toilet when shel and sling just watched and laugh. How ding got her feet stuck in the sea bed. How Howard looked like the instructor rather than a participant. How oddly ling’s face got burnt.

But as time went by, the lack of sleep caught up with me. Remembered there was a short 5-10min I fell asleep in the kayak. Got drifted away from the rest. Haha.

Ended the activity with a good wash up, and ICE CREAM! Choc chip rules!

The next activity would be at the ZOO this coming Friday. Wonder if can make it.
