不在乎天长地久,只在乎曾经拥有。
Alright. Wanted to type today’s entry using Chinese. But the Premier league highlights is starting in another 15mins. Don’t think I’ll able to finish typing before that. haha.
Well, spent 30 seconds trying to think of a translation of this phrase. Apparently I failed. All that churned out in my mind was either too broker, or too Singaporean. Oops.
Nonetheless, I’ve faith that whoever sees it understands what it means. Simple and nice huh?
For people of my generation, if I’m not wrong, you would have come across this FAMOUS phrase when you were a primary school kid. On the tele, in this Chinese commercial (it appeared on channel 5 too). It was promoting this really expensive watch. Can’t remember much. Only remember Andy Lau, a girl, an umbrella, and a watch with the words engraved on the watch back.
Everything on Earth doesn’t last like how we want them to. Everything changes at an alarming speed. The face of Earth is changing. Lives change. Perceptions change. Love changes too. Everything is so unpredictable.
That’s another reason why we should always try and enjoy each moment. Make it the best. Doesn’t matter what you are doing. Playing, studying, working, or even quarrelling with a loved one. Just soak up the moment, and live it. Because that moment might never come by again. Not that setting, not that time, not the same no more.
And once that moment pass by and turn into ‘memories’ at the back of your head, savor it as it is for you to keep forever. Be it a good one, a bad one, it’s yours.
Hence if you miss that which you have missed, or rue the chances you have lost, bear no regrets, and fret not. For the importance is in what you have experienced, and not that you cannot.
Alright. Getting cranky here. Don’t know if all these make sense. But, anyway, God bless all. Forgive me if I’ve offended you in anyway. Bless you, to whoever is reading this.
