Wow. It’s been a really interesting 2 days I must say.
So it started off with me waking up on Thursday morning, getting all set and prepared to submit my wonderfully crafted time-table for next semester. Linked up with Joel and decided that we would be doing the set B of modules this coming sem, as it is supposedly easier. So when the clock hit 1330hours, I clicked the ‘submit’ button to send up my timetable. And WALA. There were no spaces left. I was pretty sure that I clicked it right at the dot. I guess there were a few hundred people who apparently were micro-seconds faster than I was. Or perhaps my signal has to travel all the way from Bishan at Jurong, which effectively was a longer distance.
And so we waited. The slots/vacancies for EVERY SINGLE time slot went straight to zero in a matter of seconds. And right after these few seconds, all hell broke loose. There were still a few hundred more students who have not applied for their core modules, and the vacancies had already depleted! And so, what happens next? EVERYONE starts calling the office. I presume they got SO busy and freaked out that they never picked up the phone after 5 minutes.
News kinda spread after a while, telling students to wait for about 5-10 minutes, when more vacancies would be released. And indeed, vacancies for various time slots WERE released. Just that, when the number changed from zero to ten on my screen, it takes only half of a second for it to jump back right to zero again.
Feeling totally disgusted, Joel gave up and suggested we take the set A modules. Having not much choice, we planned for set A mods and submitted it. NO ONE wanted to take the set A mods. Sighs. I guess the rumours WERE true. Set A mods are killers.
So what am I studying for my core mods next sem? Gear up. It’s gross. Totally.
APPLIED chemistry. Notice the word ‘APPLIED’ in front? Yeah. Somehow it feels like annihilate.
Mathematics 3. Haha. My ‘fav’ subject. Got a B for math1. Got a B- for math2. So if this trend continues, I’m should be getting a C+. Now that sucks.
Thermodynamics. Right. Having one topic of thermo d in physics was already a killer. And now we’re having an entire module of it. Wooo-hoooooo!
Electronic and magnetic properties of materials. WTH?
Material structure and mechanical behaviour. *&@*#$&_@@#$*__)($)(%$)#&?
Owells. OWELLS. What can we do?
Oh that’s not it. Best part has yet to come. 15minutes after submitting this, the slots for SET B were ALL FREED UP. How nice.
Maybe this’s God’s will. Yeah. =) will pull through. Somehow. I hope.
Okay. So was busy doing all the planning and phone calling. Swallowed my rice in like 3 minutes. Rushed out for tuition with Jenni. It was fun like I said. Chinese IS SO HARD nowadays. It’s really insane. One passage for one question. It’s like higher mother tongue lah.. tsk tsk. Well, good news is, she’s decided to permanently employ me. Haha. =)
And was pleasantly surprised. Have got a special delivery: PATRICK. Thanks thanks. It’s really nice. But erms. Not exactly the best of time lah. Rush hour you know? People were staring. And many kids wanted to play with it. Quite a bit of unnecessary attention. But owells. Haha. THANKS!
Off to tuition with Carol. Couldn’t really stay for the 2 whole hours. Guess the flu bug is really getting into me. Had to leave half an hour early. Went to J8 and got the movie tickets for tonight.
Slept late and woke early for physio. Dang. I TRIED to be early. But I was late again. This time, it ain’t my fault. The shuttle left without me. The signboard said it would be there at 820am. I was there at 819am. But it was nowhere to be seen. DANG. Had to wait till 840 for the next one. Appointment was at 830am. Craps.
But owells, being a really nice physio, Wendy attended to me even though I was late. Oops! Haha. Did the normal stretching and balancing. And had another strength test. FINALLY! something I’ve been wanting to hear for a VERY long time. I was improving faster than expected, all thanks to the gyming sessions I’ve been having (SEE! Saturday mornings ARE important) all these while, and I CAN START JOGGING. You READ ME? I CAN JOG. I’m 2 months into my post-op and I’m already approved to jog. Haha. I was supposedly scheduled to do it only AFTER 3months. At this rate…. I hope I can hit the courts sonner than I think. YEAH. PRAISE THE LORD!!! =)
Went down town the check the Crumpler shoulder cushion. They didn’t have the colour you wanted. I’m so sorry. Will try checking it online yeah? Will try my best. But no promises as yet. =)
Met my DEAR cousin Enjelyn in town. Saw her yawning UNGLAM-LY at the road junction while I was on the bus. Decided to give her a message. And so we decided to do a little catching up. Had a good talk while walking around. Had toasts too. HEY! I didn’t slouch alrights? Even if I did, ain’t got nothing to do with my posture. You know what caused the it right? hahah. DO keep it to yourself. ;)
Went down to J8 after that and did some work with Ling and Phyllis. I still can’t get that ratio question out of my head. WHY CAN’T I GET THE ANSWER?!? Urgh. Shall try it again next time. If I remember it that is. Had dinner at TPY and rushed back home to deliver dinner for mum and Eric.
And wow. Caught Die Hard 4.0 with Eric and dad. All men outing. I think it’s cool. But I still like Transformers. I’m saving up my money for the Transformers DVD. Haha. =) but hey, BRUCE WILLIS still rock! He makes all hairy man feel proud. *grins*
And so it’s one thirty now. Just back from supper with dad and Eric. Shall go take a shower and hit the sack. Have a great great great weekend my dear friends. May God bless you with a peaceful and happy Saturday and Sunday. =)
